Design Intern

  • Columbia, South Carolina
  • Graphic Communications

I chose graphic communications as my major because of my creative eye and love for design. I want to go into management or interior design after college and felt as if this major contained both design and business aspects. Also, I was able to see the different things my brother, who is a senior in graphic communications, was doing and it really interested me, so I thought that was my best path to which the Lord was leading me. I chose this internship because the learning possibilities seem endless. I want to learn more about all aspects of printing and to be able to apply what I learn in class to the hands-on work I see Campus Banner + Design carrying out. I want to be a part of a company that values teaching interns real-world experience and preps them for a real job after college. It seems very serious to me and I’m very excited to learn! Outside of school, I make jewelry for my own business. I also love to cook, try out new healthy recipes and work out every day to stay fit and active.

I have three goals while working at Campus Banner + Design:

  1. To learn more about the production side of printing.
  2. To enhance my InDesign skills.
  3. To apply the terms I learn in class to my hands-on work for CB+D.
