Marketing Intern

I started my first year at Clemson as an art major with the ambition of working in a museum or gallery. However, I came to realize the major had a heavy emphasis on technical skills in drawing and painting rather than learning about the art industry. Realizing I wanted to major in an area with a higher focus on business, I explored my options. I chose to major in marketing because it has the quintessential balance of a creative and business curriculum, and I now plan on pursuing a career in advertising after college. I chose this internship because of the creative and vivacious environment of Campus Banner + Design. Working alongside writers, photographers and designers motivates me to think outside of the box. In addition, I hope conversing with students in different majors will help me become a more well-rounded individual. Outside of school, I like to draw, paint, exercise, play the piano, hang out with friends, cook and watch TV.

I have three goals while working at Campus Banner + Design:

  1. To elevate my understanding of the marketing industry through real client interactions and hands-on experience with marketing strategy.
  2. To build a long-term consumer base for CB+D through making connections with clients.
  3. To gain a better understanding of various marketing reports and of how data collection plays into strategy.
