In high school, I took several engineering classes with the intent to major in some field of engineering. I enjoyed a few projects here and there. I found myself not interested in continuing on with it in college. I still had my mind set on Clemson, but I quickly had to decide what I wanted to major in before fall 2013. I browsed the majors on Clemson’s website and found graphic communications (GC) and automatically fell in love. GC looked like a major where I could learn tons of valuable information while still doing hands-on activities that were enjoyable. I always wanted to learn more about design and things like Photoshop® but never really considered making a career out of it. I’ve since learned that GC has so many different paths I can travel, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice!
I chose this internship at Campus Banner + Design because I felt it could give me the best first-hand experience that I was looking for in an internship. CB+D has direct ties to the actual Clemson University graphic communications program, which allows them to know exactly what I’ve been through and what I will go through in the future. Outside of school and work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching Braves baseball and Clemson football/baseball, and watching Netflix.
