  • Graphic Communications

As a kid, I loved art and used to draw my own comics, but I always wanted to do more than just
draw. I wanted to be creative but also have something to show for it. I visited my local career
center and took a class about graphic communications, thinking it would be about art. I
immediately fell in love with the class and quickly learned it was more than just “drawing” on
computers — it was designing and printing. I chose an internship with Student Transitions and
Family Programs (STFP) and CB+D because I wanted to further challenge my abilities and
knowledge of graphic communications. This dual internship, without a doubt, will improve my
communication and problem-solving skills while I gain experiences with real clients and real-
world challenges. Outside of school, I enjoy drawing using pencil and paper or my iPad, playing
video games, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

I have three goals while working at Campus Banner + Design:

  1. To master design and techniques I learned throughout multiple semesters at CB+D and
    apply them for STFP.
  2. To continue building friendships, connections and networks that will reflect my future
    career.
  3. To have fun and learn new things that will challenge me to become a more well-rounded
intern in both social media and design.
