As a kid, I used to draw my own comics, but I always wanted to do more than just draw. I visited my local career center and found a class called Graphic Communications (GC) which used computers to “draw.” I immediately fell in love with the class, and I quickly learned it was more than just drawing on computers; it was designing and printing. During my time in this class, I joined SkillsUSA and went on to compete at GC state and national competitions. When I asked my teacher what the best college to attend for GC would be, she responded with Clemson University. I always dreamed of going here, and now it’s a reality. I chose an internship at CB+D because I wanted to challenge my skills and knowledge of graphic communications. CB+D will, without a doubt, provide me with first-hand experiences with real clients and real-world challenges. Outside of school, I enjoy drawing using pencil and paper or my drawing tablet, playing video games, listening to music, walking and helping others when I am able.
